Mike Manatos was selected, along with Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, comedian Zach Galifianakis, and United States Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME), among others, as one of the “25 Most Intriguing People of Greek America.”

What follows is Greek-America Magazine‘s explanation of why it selected Manatos:

“Duracell bunny – watch out.  This guy keeps going and going and going… Running for 13 consecutive years in the Make-A-Wish Triathlon, Mike Manatos, senior vice president at Manatos and Manatos, a government relations and public policy company, has raised almost a half million dollars for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. So far, his efforts have granted the wishes of over 60 Wish Kids. Thanks to his will and the generous support of the national Greek-American community, Manatos raised $53,400 in 2010 alone, setting a new fundraising record for the Make-A-Wish Foundation – the most money raised in the 27-year history of the Annual Make-A-Wish Foundation Triathlon. As an enduring participant in the Make-A-Wish Triathlon, Manatos proudly represents the Greek-American community, whose donations account for over 75 percent of Manatos’ contributions.”
